Let’s Talk is an intermittent zine edited by Janeil Engelstad and published by Make Art with Purpose that gives space to writing, art and stories by diverse voices where MAP aims to provide a place where people are empowered to voice their stories and to increase knowledge, understanding and empathy across cultures. The second issue of Let’s Talk features MAP’s affiliate project Break Bread, Bread Borders. The zine features the immigration stories and recipes of San San Naung (Myanmar), Maryam Alhaw (Syria), and Mariam Alshiblaq (Syria). Illustrated by graphic novelist Tessa Hulls, Let’s Talk includes essays that provide political and social context to the women’s stories as well as resources for immigration services.
