State of the Arts Panel

Moderated by KERA's Jerome Weeks, the panel will center on murals as an artistic mainstay of historic Dallas neighborhoods like Deep Ellum, Oak Cliff, South Dallas, and Downtown. The panel will include artists and community arts organizers and discussion points will include a) why the mural is such a signature art form for Dallas, b) mural projects that are particularly significant to the city’s cultural landscape, c) mural projects, development, and gentrification, and d) the social media capital of murals.
